EThe Bryan Rotary Club is busy preparing for the 2008 Benefit Auction to be held on Saturday, May 3rd, at the McDonald Ruff Ice Arena on Townline Road in Bryan, from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon. This event can be heard on WBNO radio station and will be broadcast live on Bryan City Cable BMU Channel 3 and TV26. Thanks to many generous local businesses, the auction will feature several blocks of items ranging from vacation plans and sporting event tickets to car care items and local gift certificates. Following the radio and cable auction, a live auction will begin, featuring many new and gently used donated items.

In addition to the auction, the club will be serving an all NEW delicious lunch featuring BBQ pulled pork, Chubbie’s potato salad, dinner roll and drink. Tickets for lunches can be purchased from any Rotarian and can also be purchased the day of the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Williams County Public Library, Bryan Rotary Scholarship recipients and other club projects.

  •  EREY Giving to Date:

  ◦   Just a quick reminder of the goal that our Bryan Rotary Club set - to get a commitment from EVERY Bryan Rotarian for $100 every year, to be given to The Rotary Foundation. Many of you have already stepped up to the plate and either written your check for $100 to The Rotary Foundation, OR you are continuing to collect loose change and bills in your EREY boxes. And speaking of the EREY boxes, we have set a date of Friday, June 8 to bring in your EREY box to the weekly meeting on that Friday. We will collect the boxes, count the money inside each box, and then credit your EREY Rotary Foundation account for that amount. Or, if you prefer, you can bring in your $100 check that day as well. Please say "IDI" (I'll Do It!) and do your part in meeting our goal of EVERY Bryan Rotarian giving $100 this year to The Rotary Foundation. That's 30 cents a day! Please refer to the May newsletter as to the impact these dollars have on those in the world who are not as fortunate as us.
